Health Management & Policy as a major has allowed me to explore every competency of the healthcare industry, ensuring that my knowledge can be applied beyond the classroom. I have comprehended topics like hospital administration and its many facets, the complex world of pharmaceuticals and drug pricing, how policymakers strike a balance between paternalism and libertarianism in public health interventions, or how businesses can achieve the "Triple Aim" while maintaining profitability as a business functioning in the United States economy. University of Miami
Teaching/Research Assistant
Beginning my sophomore year, I assist Dr. Steven Ullmann in his courses ranging from undergraduate students to MBA candidates by way of preparing the necessary technology and engaging in the Blackboard learning platform to enlighten students on healthcare-related opportunities. Furthermore, I expedite and review the professor's research on a range of topics, fostering a direct engagement with current issues in healthcare. Finally, I complete a variety of administrative tasks to mitigate the duties of the Health Management & Policy Department faculty.

Revenue Management Intern
Through this role, completed in Summer 2023, I navigated the world of revenue cycle analytics and was able to stretch my "Finance" muscle. I participated in the delivery of projects focused on monthly reporting and revenue projection, supported the development of analytics and visualizations and increased my exposure to healthcare finance, reimbursement, managed care and revenue cycle.

Sales/Marketing Intern
This Summer, I will have the opportunity to work for UHG in their Sales Department and learn more about the payer side of healthcare business. With a focus on UnitedHealthcare Medicare Solutions, I will experience what it means to sell product sets across various channels and enroll consumers in plans tailored to their needs. I will also conduct needs analyses across a diverse consumer population.
